BRUJERA WITCHCRAFT PRACTIONER AND EDUCATOR

My practice is all about being in tune with the universe around me and bringing that focus into my daily life. From a young age I was taught many different practices within Brujería, a form of witchcraft, from my grandmother and aunts. Brujería is not just a practice to me but is also a part of my cultural identity.

As a youth I was under the guidance of my aunts, grandmother, and the spirits of my ancestors. Then, four years ago, sufficiently prepared, I started practicing on my own. Being a bruja, to me, is about finding my joy and celebrating my connection to the Earth. It’s about honoring my ancestors, their legacies, and it’s about honoring their spirits and their sacrifices.

I inherited my practice from my ancestors. It has always been a part of me. I do not follow the catholic influences that can be found in a lot of Brujería practices. Instead, my religion is polytheistic hereditary Brujería, meaning I follow Gaia, or Mother Earth, and other goddesses and gods within my practice. Most of my magick has been handed down through my family. I use magick in my day-to-day life such as kitchen witchery, divination, spell craft, candle magick, and many more. My focus is on tarot readings, spell work, and limpias (also known as spiritual cleansing).
